Program Descscription:
We try to tailor the family medicine residency to the individual needs of each resident. Our continuity clinics are in community which exposes the resident not only to quality outpatient care but the business aspect of medicine. You will encounter a diverse patient population and have the ability to perform a variety of outpatient procedures. The program is extremely flexible with the ability to concentrate the clinical rotations in area of particular interest to each house staff member. We also offer an OMM clinic in the hospital to improve their treatment skills. Upon graduation there are numerous practice opportunities in beautiful Southern California.

Pacific Hospital of Long Beach is a 171-bed, acute care, teaching hospital. Our residencies are in family medicine and internal medicine. We are fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care. Our acute-care hospital provides traditional primary-care services, which include inpatient acute medical/surgical, obstetrics and psychiatric care. Our outpatient service encompasses a 24-hour physician staffed, basic emergency room, a full-service, same-day surgery, outpatient.
