Rancho Cucamonga, CA – The American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians of California (ACOFPCA) is pleased to share news of the newly formed Society of Military Family Medicine Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (Military-ACOFP). This new branch society offers a unique opportunity for osteopathic physicians, residents, and students with military backgrounds to connect, share experiences, and strengthen the impact of osteopathic family medicine within the military community. Military-ACOFP operates under the Constitution, Bylaws, and Code of Ethics of the national ACOFP, ensuring the highest professional standards and a commitment to serving military families.

Who Can Join?

Military-ACOFP welcomes current students or graduates of AOA-approved osteopathic medical colleges, licensed or retired family medicine practitioners, and current residents in ACGME or AOA-accredited residencies who:

• Are free of felony convictions related to medicine.
• Receive approval from the Military-ACOFP Board of Directors.
• Have served honorably in any branch of the military, including active, reserve, or guard roles in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Space Force, or Coast Guard.

Membership Highlights

Membership in Military-ACOFP offers access to a robust support network of fellow osteopathic physicians with military backgrounds. Members can look forward to exclusive professional development, mentorship, and collaboration opportunities. Membership dues are $50 annually for physicians, with specific guidelines for residents and students. As a new society, Military-ACOFP values your input to help shape programs that best support future generations of military osteopathic physicians.
